Low Voltage Rescue

Designed for:
All students involved in electrical work who are required to maintain skill levels in low voltage rescue procedures as part of their duties.
This course is specifically designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills to perform a safe rescue of a casualty who has received an electric shock or other injuries while working on low voltage conductors or equipment.

Description:
There are two components to this course: an accredited component which will provide students with the confidence and competence required to perform CPR on an unconscious casualty.
The non-accredited component focuses on the practical skills required of a students to perform a rescue from a low voltage equipment or conductors using a low voltage rescue kit.

For the Low Voltage Rescue component, successful students will be issued a certificate of attendance.
Pre-entry Requirements:
Students will require a level of Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills to enable the completion of workplace incident forms.
Assessment:
Assessment is through oral, written, questioning and simulated workplace emergencies.
Delivery Method:
The course is delivered through the use of PowerPoint, case studies and practical activities that simulate workplace emergencies.
