This driver training course is designed for persons operating light vehicles in off road situations (4x4) and on the pipeline easement/access roads. It covers PMASUP236B - Operate Vehicles in the field from the Chemical and Hydrocarbons Training Package. This course meets the requirements of the SANTOS specific driver training program and is approved by SANTOS.
Pre-requisites:
This unit has no prerequisites, however operators will have the appropriate class of driver's license before taking charge of the vehicle.

Description:
This course targets safe driving practices in the field as well as the implementation of emergency and vehicle recovery techniques.

Pre-entry Requirements:
Students are to ensure they have a current drivers license before the commencement of the training.
Assessment:
Assessment will consist of both theory and practical activities requiring the use of an off-road vehicle.
Delivery Method:
Classroom theory via PowerPoint presentations, including audio-visual material and practical activities involving the use of an off-road vehicle.
